It is with a fresh sense of optimism and excitement that I have returned to Uganda to launch Whitehead Communications in East Africa. My past work in this country (2009-2010) taught me that this is a nation full of extraordinary talent, passion and innovation. I have had the pleasure to work with many Ugandans locally and internationally, and I am honoured to count some of the nation's elite creators among my friends and collaborators.
Kampala is a city of great warmth and colour - not just the climate but the people: their exceptional kindness and endless creativity.
My mission is to bring people together in greater understanding so that we may redefine what is possible on a global scale. I come with a masters degree in communications, a B.A. in international development, and several years experience collaborating across cultures in countless industries. I have refined my skills in communications and public relations strategy, particularly in proposal writing and content development, but I still have much to learn (kati nsoma Luganda). I am humbled by the vision, resourcefulness and vitality of Ugandans, and I hope that I can give as much as I get from my time in The Pearl of Africa.
